Battery Adapters

Will I damage my batteries and/or tools by using an adapter?

he short answer is no. Some brands (like Ridgid/AEG) place the battery monitor and safety sensors inside the battery, while others build these components into the tool.

  • If your battery includes the safety components, there is nothing to worry about.
  • If it does not, we recommend avoiding a full discharge—stop using the adapter once the battery reaches about 20% charge.

As for the tool, there is no risk at all.

Do adapters affect battery life?

No, adapters do not shorten battery life when used correctly. The battery’s natural wear depends on charging habits, storage conditions, and usage - not the adapter itself.

Will all features of my battery still work with an adapter?

Core functions like powering the tool and basic safety protections remain. However, advanced brand-specific features (like Bluetooth tracking or brand-specific fuel gauges) may not always transfer through the adapter.

Do I need to modify my battery or tool?

Not at all. Adapters are plug-and-play. Just slide the adapter onto your tool, attach the battery, and you’re ready to work. No wiring, no permanent changes.

Are adapters safe to use in professional settings?

Yes. Our adapters are made with high-quality materials, tested for durability, and used by both DIYers and professionals worldwide.

Can I charge my battery through the adapter?

No. Adapters are designed only for power delivery to the tool. Always remove the battery from the adapter and charge it with its original brand charger.

Do adapters void my tool or battery warranty?

Using third-party accessories may not be covered under manufacturer warranties. However, since no modifications are made, your tools and batteries remain fully functional.

How do I know if an adapter is right for me?

If you own tools from multiple brands and want to avoid buying duplicate batteries, an adapter is the perfect solution. It saves money, space, and lets you get more from the batteries you already own.

Do adapters reduce performance (power/torque)?

No. Adapters are designed to deliver the same voltage and current as if the battery were connected directly to the tool. You’ll get the full power and torque of your battery and tool combination. The only thing to watch for is battery capacity - using a smaller battery on a high-demand tool may reduce runtime, but not performance.

How do I know which adapter I need?

It’s simple: the adapter name always follows the format Battery Brand → Tool Brand. For example, a DeWalt → Milwaukee adapter lets you use DeWalt batteries on Milwaukee tools. Just check the labels:

  • The first brand = the battery you already own

  • The second brand = the tool you want to power

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Payment is only processed once your order has shipped.

We also accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. If you choose one of these methods, you’ll be redirected to their secure website to log in and complete your payment. Once the transaction is successful, you’ll be directed back to your order confirmation page.

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within three days of an item being returned to us. Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account. With that said, please allow up to ten working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund. We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your refund has been processed.

Ordering and delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account.

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at support@powertoolsadapters.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering, via support@powertoolsadapters.com, we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

Can I alter my order?

Sadly, we’re unable to modify your order once we’ve started processing it. If you need to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online.
